AeiROBOT ALICE 4
A 160 cm Korean bipedal humanoid whose all-joint gearless linear actuators let it walk rough shipyard terrain and squeeze delicate, force-controlled assembly out of the same body, now in real field trials rather than on a price list.

Dexterous hands included
Two multi-fingered hands are integral to the platform, each with 6 degrees of freedom (the 41-DoF total is Leg 6x2, Waist 1, Arm 7x2, Head 2, Hand 6x2). Combined with 7-DoF arms and impedance/force control, they handle delicate assembly through to complex manipulation. AeiROBOT's CES 2026 demo showed ALICE 4 recognizing a tumbler and placing it in a box while automatically adjusting grip strength and wrist angle.

Reality check
This is not a product you can buy: ALICE 4 is a pre-commercial field-trial robot with no published price, no purchase path, and AeiROBOT's own 2028 validation target before mass production. The impressive part (all-joint linear actuators giving both rough-terrain walking and precise force control) is real and drew a Jensen Huang CES shout-out, but you are signing up for a supervised pilot with heavy vendor involvement, not a turnkey worker.

ALICE 4 is a pre-commercial R&D and field-demonstration robot. AeiROBOT is Korea's first humanoid company to receive Regulatory Sandbox approval for factory field demos and is running trials in shipbuilding and construction, with commercial validation targeted for 2028 before mass production. Realistic engagement today is a B2B pilot or partnership with an industrial site, not an off-the-shelf order.

Price notes: AeiROBOT publishes no price for ALICE 4. The company's spec page directs buyers to an inquiry form and notes configuration-dependent quoting. A $50,000-$100,000 figure circulates on third-party aggregator sites (originofbots, aparobot) but is an unverified estimate, not a company-published number, so it is omitted. The related wheeled model ALICE M1 opened pre-orders in October 2025, but ALICE 4 (the bipedal flagship) is a field-trial platform, not a listed SKU.

What it does on day onewith zero programming
Nothing consumer-style. As a field-trial industrial platform, ALICE 4 does what AeiROBOT's engineers have programmed or teleoperated it to do: bipedal walking over uneven terrain and stairs, force-controlled pick-and-place, and demonstration tasks like recognizing an object and boxing it with adaptive grip. It supports real-time human-motion imitation and VR-based teleoperation for skill capture. There is no plug-in-and-it-works autonomy for an untrained buyer.
Best for: Industrial partners (manufacturing, shipbuilding, construction) who want to run a supervised field pilot of a full-size, force-controlled humanoid on existing tooling, and can work directly with AeiROBOT rather than buy an off-the-shelf unit.
What it takes to developskills, gear, and SDK access
Deployment is a partnership: AeiROBOT integrates and tunes the robot for a specific industrial task (welding, material handling, assembly) at the customer's site. Expect on-site engineering support, teleoperation/imitation-learning workflows for teaching new skills, and robotics expertise rather than a documented public developer kit. The perception stack runs on NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX and uses NVIDIA GR00T/Cosmos in AeiROBOT's own demos.
SDK access: AeiROBOT has not published a public developer SDK or API for ALICE 4. The robot uses an Intel Core i7 control PC with a Jetson Orin NX for perception, and AeiROBOT's demonstrations leverage NVIDIA's GR00T and Cosmos foundation models plus VR teleoperation and imitation learning. Skill acquisition is done by AeiROBOT (or with its support), not via an open published toolchain.
