Reality check

The $44,560 buys the Lite, a performer that cannot hear, see or grasp: reception and guiding need the Ultra, which hides its price, and group control and the VR kit cost extra.

AgiBot: Private: its shares do not trade on any exchange.

AgiBot confirmed in July 2026 that it is preparing a Hong Kong IPO, but no application is public. What it does on day onewith zero programming

The Lite performs: it walks at up to 0.8 m/s under wireless remote control and plays preloaded actions (handshake, waving, Tai Chi, a basic Peking Opera routine). It has no speech and no perception sensors, and AgiBot lists light-duty operation as not supported. Turnkey reception, exhibition guiding and voice interaction are A2 Ultra capabilities.

Best for: Event, entertainment and brand teams that want a full-size performance humanoid from a commercial-service volume leader; for reception or guiding, ask AgiBot for an A2 Ultra quote.

Documented uses

Robotics R&DDemo / showpiece

AgiBot sells the A2 Lite for entertainment and commercial performances and the A2 Ultra for showroom guiding and reception, and publishes AimDK developer guides for both.

The $44,560 A2 Lite has no perception, speech or grasping hands, so reception and guiding need the quote-priced Ultra, and the SDK keeps low-level leg control closed by default.

Assessment from published documentation, not an independent performance test. Applies to the configuration described above.

What it takes to developskills, gear, and SDK access

For performances: near none (wireless controller, AimMaster client, preloaded actions). For custom work: AgiBot's A2 Lite developer guide (AimDK) exposes HTTP JSON RPC and ROS2 topic interfaces for walking, arm joint commands and action playback, so expect ROS2 and programming skills; low-level leg control is closed by default.

SDK access: AgiBot publishes an A2 Lite Developer Guide (AimDK V2.0, March 2026) and an A2 Ultra guide (V2.1) on its AIMA open platform: HTTP JSON RPC and ROS2 topic interfaces on its AimRT middleware, with leg joints limited to high-level speed commands by default. The wider ecosystem (AgiBot World datasets, Genie Sim 3.0, GO-series models) is not A2-specific, and AgiBot's open-source robot is the X1, not the X2.
