Hands

No hands, none offered

Two arms with shoulder, elbow and wrist joints ending in five-finger-shaped hands, but no source says the fingers move and no demonstration shows Mobo holding anything: at its debut people held fruit up to it and it named it. With 22 degrees of freedom for the whole walking body, the hands are most likely fixed.

Reality check

It is a companion that talks, recognises and dances, not a helper that picks things up, and a $99 deposit today buys a place in line for a robot whose price, shipping countries and delivery date AiMOGA has not published.

Effectively no

You cannot order the Mobo today: it is waitlist.

Price notes: No retail price published. AiMOGA's global site runs a 'Pre-sale' from 21 October to 31 December 2026: a $99 deposit 'credited as $399 toward purchase' plus a 6-month extended warranty, requested by filling in its purchase inquiry form with the code 'I LOVE MOBO', after which 'Our sales team will contact you'. The site adds that 'Any related fees incurred during the refund process shall be borne by the buyer.' In China the same offer is RMB 99 credited as RMB 2,999, sold on JD.com (Chinese posts give a window of 21 October to 13 November). Chinese launch reports say the price and sales channels have not been announced.

Prices remain in the seller’s listed currency. Tax, freight, options, and rental periods follow each seller’s terms. A seller’s region does not guarantee delivery to your address.

The maker's shares

All makers

AiMOGA Robotics (Chery): Only through Chery Automobile (HKEX: 9973), which controls it.

Chery holds almost 77% of AiMOGA and listed in Hong Kong in September 2025, so Chery's shares are the only exposure. AiMOGA's head spoke of a possible standalone IPO in August 2026, but the company then said it had taken no substantive steps toward one.

About the Mobobackground, hardware and buying reality

Mobo is AiMOGA Robotics' first consumer robot, aimed at 'one family, three generations'. It debuted at the World Robot Conference in Beijing in August 2026 and launched with global pre-orders at AiMOGA's global launch event in Wuhu on 21 October 2026, during the Chery International User Summit. It stands about 0.9 m and weighs about 18 kg (AiMOGA), has 22 degrees of freedom, a visor-style screen face with more than 30 expressions, a camera on its head, soft covers and a walking two-legged body. Its software is AiMOGA's MoAgent, which recognises family members, remembers past conversations and runs tasks sent from the MogaCloud service. Launch reports list a battery life of 1.5 to 2 hours. AiMOGA's existing products are the Mornine M1 service humanoid used in car dealerships and the Argos robot dog; the company says it has delivered more than 3,000 robots. 35 launch-day users received a year of free use as ambassadors, and AiMOGA plans 300 experience centres and a robot rental brand.

What it does on day onewith zero programming

A talking, walking companion for a family: it recognises household members by face, answers questions about objects shown to it, tells stories, practises English with children, chats with elders and sets reminders, detects falls and alerts family (AiMOGA claims within a second), and makes video calls. Chores such as tidying or kitchen help appear in launch posts as intended uses, not demonstrations.

Best for: Families who want a talking companion and learning partner for children or elderly relatives, and are comfortable placing a refundable deposit with no price or delivery date yet.

What it takes to developskills, gear, and SDK access

None for its intended use; it is set up and updated through AiMOGA's MogaCloud service. No SDK, API or ROS support is mentioned anywhere.

SDK access: Closed consumer product: AiMOGA's MoAgent assistant (a fast and slow 'dual-brain' design), a vision-language model and face recognition, with MogaCloud for task dispatch and over-the-air updates. Household data is said to be stored encrypted on the robot.
