Frontier machineEnterprise onlyShipping now

Astribot's cheaper T-series machine: a 155 cm wheeled dual-arm humanoid from Shenzhen, announced 28 May 2026 at 89,900 RMB (about $13,500), which undercuts its own S1 sibling by an order of magnitude.

Hands

Hands sold separatelypriced by quote

End effectors swap between parallel grippers and five-finger dexterous hands (reported at 16 DoF across the pair, on top of the 23 body DoF), rated to about 5 kg payload per arm. Astribot publishes no separate hand price, so the cost of the dexterous option is unknown rather than free.

In the crate

Astribot T1 robot: wheeled base, torso, two cable-driven arms, head with camera eyes End effectors as configured (parallel grippers or five-finger dexterous hands) Onboard battery (4 to 6 hours runtime) Onboard compute and perception for the manipulation stack

You still have to add

Legs or walking (it is a wheeled robot, not a bipedal humanoid) A published EU price, spec sheet, or warranty terms (Astribot's 29 Sep 2026 release gives only a US starting price of $18,000) Turnkey autonomy: like the S1, skills come from demonstrations and training, not out of the box Any documented EU or US support, spares, or service path

Day oneNothing useful autonomously on day one.

Reality check

The most interesting price in the catalog and the thinnest paperwork behind it: orders open in China and, since 29 Sep 2026, in the US from $18,000, but no product page, no spec sheet, no checkout and no independent delivery evidence yet, so treat the 89,900 RMB figure as a domestic sticker and get the US terms in writing.

Yes

Yes: a seller in the United States lists it, so you buy it without importing it yourself.

US authorization: We found no public FCC ID for this model. Since 28 July 2026 a foreign-made robot can be sold into the US only under an FCC authorization from before that date, so ask the seller for its FCC ID, or its Supplier's Declaration of Conformity dated before 28 July 2026, before you pay.

Optional hands: request a price

Optional hands are excluded until a seller quotes them. Spare batteries and other accessories are excluded. Confirm compatibility and pricing with the seller.

Where to buy

Catalog checked 2026-10

Businesses and institutions only. Confirm eligibility and configuration with the seller.

Astribot's only channel is a direct contact and enquiry route, the same cooperation-order model it uses for the S1. Orders were reported open from launch and US sales opened on 29 Sep 2026 (from $18,000), but the manufacturer site publishes no T1 product page, no configurator and no checkout, and there is no authorized EU distributor. In practice this is an enterprise or institutional conversation with Astribot's sales team, not a cart.

Price notes: Astribot announced the T1 on 28 May 2026 at 89,900 RMB (about $13,500) with orders reported open. That is the Chinese domestic list price. On 29 Sep 2026 Astribot opened US sales at IROS, with US pricing from $18,000 and 'immediate delivery available', through its sales team rather than an online checkout; the US figure is a US-market price, so it is shown as the US seller offer, not as the machine's ex-works price. There is still no EU price, and Astribot's site still has no T1 product page or checkout.

The maker's shares

Astribot: Private: its shares do not trade on any exchange.

Astribot (星尘智能, Shenzhen) is privately held; no listing filing or IPO plan appears in HKEXnews, SSE or SZSE application lists or in the company's announcements. It announced a Series B above RMB 1 billion in June 2026 and the further RMB 1 billion round on 13 Oct 2026.

About the T1background, hardware and buying reality

It keeps the cable-driven arm architecture that made the S1 fast and precise, with 23 body degrees of freedom excluding end effectors, about 5 kg payload per arm, 4 to 6 hours of runtime and roughly 5 km/h on the base. It has a head with camera eyes and two manipulating arms, but no legs: it rolls rather than walks. On paper it is the cheapest new dual-arm humanoid of the 2026 season, and that is exactly why the gap between the announcement and the buying reality matters: outside China the only route is Astribot's own sales team, which opened US orders from $18,000 on 29 Sep 2026 without a product page or checkout.

What it does on day onewith zero programming

Nothing useful autonomously on day one. The T1 inherits the S1's cable-driven architecture and the same teach-by-demonstration workflow, so what it does is what you have trained it to do. Astribot's launch material shows kitchen and warehouse manipulation, all of it demonstration-driven rather than a shipped skill library.

Best for: Manipulation teams and integrators who want the S1's cable-driven architecture at a fraction of the price and can handle a direct-from-Shenzhen enquiry, import, and training process themselves.

Documented uses

Robotics R&DManipulation research

Astribot's US launch release presents the T1 as a platform for researchers and developers with SDK and API joint control, VR teleoperation and data collection for model training.

Astribot counts 23 DoF excluding end effectors and does not say which gripper or hand the $18,000 US price includes, and its own website still has no T1 product page.

Source reviewed 2026-10-05

Assessment from published documentation, not an independent performance test. Applies to the configuration described above.

What it takes to developskills, gear, and SDK access

Robotics and ML engineering, on the S1's pattern: teleoperated demonstrations, imitation learning, GPU compute for policy training, and integration through the T1's SDK and API (Astribot names joint control, Cartesian motion and whole-body coordination, but no language or ROS version). Astribot has not published T1-specific developer documentation, so confirm the toolchain before committing.

SDK access: Astribot's 29 Sep 2026 US launch release says the T1 gives developers SDK and API access to joint control, Cartesian motion and whole-body coordination, plus sensor data, and that Astribot OS adds meta-packages and skill libraries. No public T1 SDK documentation, access terms or developer program page was found, so confirm what you get in writing before buying on this basis.
