Dobot describes the Atom Max as featuring dexterous 6-DoF hands, and SVRC and Dobot.nu list two of them as the end effector. OpenELAB also sells an Atom Max Research version without the hands (29 DoF), so check which configuration a quote covers. Customizable hands or grippers belong to the separate Atom D data-collection model.

The precision is real and the vendor is established, and the Atom Max as Dobot describes it has dexterous hands (a Research version is sold without them), but Dobot itself calls the industrial role of its humanoids today pilot testing, and unstructured autonomy still has to be programmed.

About 40% on China-origin collected today: the 2.5% MFN base, 25% Section 301 List 1, and the 12.5% Section 301 forced-labor duty effective 24 Jul 2026 with no expiry. Watch the spread: AIFITLAB (US) lists the same robot from $53,000, close to double, so the Atom is one of the machines where the channel you pick matters more than the machine.
