A 1.65 m, 30 kg lifelike humanoid from Shanghai's DroidUp with warm silicone skin, a face that mirrors your expressions and tendon-driven limbs, sold to businesses for reception, hosting and companionship rather than physical work.
- Not to be confused with Dex (Richtech Robotics): searches for 'DroidUp Dex' mix up two companies. Dex is a two-armed industrial robot on wheels from Richtech Robotics in Las Vegas; DroidUp sells no robot called Dex. Dex datasheet

Reality check
Moya is a greeter and a companion, not a worker: it talks, emotes and gestures convincingly, but it does no physical tasks, has no public price (launch reports said about 1.2 million yuan), no developer kit and no seller outside China.

About the DroidUp Moyabackground, hardware and buying reality
DroidUp (Shanghai DroidUp Robotics, Zhuoyide in Chinese) unveiled Moya in early 2026. It says the face has 40 actuation units for more than 60 micro-expressions, the skin is held at 32 to 36 C, and the motors sit in the hips and pull the limbs through tendons, keeping them light and soft on contact. Since 17 September 2026 Moya has greeted customers at the GUJIN lingerie flagship store on Huaihai Road, Shanghai, and on 10 October it spent a day teaching at Jiahua kindergarten. In July DroidUp signed a 1,000-unit production agreement with Shanghai's humanoid pilot-production platform and said it held orders for over a thousand units. DroidUp also makes the Xingzhe 2 biped and the Ruina expressive robot.
What it does on day onewith zero programming
Talks, holds eye contact, mirrors the expression of the person in front of it and gestures while it speaks, using DroidUp's DroidSoul software; it walks with a human-like gait. In DroidUp's own accounts it greets shoppers in a store, hosts events and leads a children's song. DroidUp sets up each placement's role and limits itself.
Best for: Shops, showrooms, event hosts and care operators in China who want a lifelike greeter or companion and can buy by contract.
Documented uses
DroidUp documents Moya greeting shoppers at the GUJIN flagship store in Shanghai since 17 Sep 2026, hosting events and leading a kindergarten class.
