Reality check
You are buying one of 50 hand-built first units of an experimental robot with no warranty, no returns after delivery, unclear deposit terms and no FCC authorization on record for a US sale, whose own maker says a taught chore succeeds about four times in five.
Can you get one, and what will it cost?
A planning estimate with machine, freight, duty, and tax shown separately.
Yes, with work: importable into United States.
US authorization: We found no public FCC ID for this model. Since 28 July 2026 a foreign-made robot can be sold into the US only under an FCC authorization from before that date, so ask the seller for its FCC ID, or its Supplier's Declaration of Conformity dated before 28 July 2026, before you pay.
Spare batteries and other accessories are excluded. Confirm compatibility and pricing with the seller.

Sold to adult consumers for home use; the Terms rule out commercial, care, medical and security use. The founder says it sells in America and Europe but not Asia, and the shipping countries appear only at checkout. It needs home Wi-Fi, a smartphone and mains power.
Price notes: $3,555 for one of 50 numbered first-run units, prices in US dollars excluding taxes, duties and shipping (Terms of Sale). What you pay now is unclear on the maker's own pages: the pricing card says '$200 deposit today, fully refundable until shipping' (it said $1,555 until 13 Oct 2026), every order button still says 'Reserve for $1,555', and the Terms say 'Payment is taken in full at the time of order'. A cancellation before shipping is refunded in full. Six months of cloud compute are included, then $50/month (optional), or the owner's own GPU. No price is published for units after the first 50.

About the Flourish 1background, hardware and buying reality
Flourish 1 is the first product of Flourish Robots, founded by Antoine Marcel and backed by a pre-seed round led by Families Fund; it came out of stealth on 29 September 2026 with a San Francisco dateline, while the founder says each robot is designed and hand-assembled in Paris. It stands 3 ft 7 in (about 109 cm), weighs 44 lb (20 kg), reaches from the floor to about 35 in (89 cm) by raising its upper body on a column, and claims 12 hours of runtime. A Raspberry Pi runs it onboard, with cloud GPUs for training and higher-level decisions. The maker publishes its own reliability figure: a taught task worked 60% of the time a year ago and about 80% today. Its terms call it 'an experimental product sold in a limited run of 50 units to early adopters', not a finished appliance.
What it does on day onewith zero programming
After delivery the owner teaches each chore in the app: lay out the steps, then drive the robot from the phone for about 30 minutes from a few spots in the room, and about an hour later it can repeat the task alone. Tasks others have taught are meant to install in seconds from a store that is not open yet. It also answers voice requests and runs tasks on a schedule. The founder says no person at Flourish drives the robot remotely, but camera and sensor data stream to Flourish's servers while it works.
Best for: Early adopters who want an inexpensive home robot for light tidying and pet chores, accept teaching each task themselves, and can live with an as-is purchase from a new company.
