Dexterous hands included
Ships with integrated five-fingered dexterous hands (ten fingers total) able to grasp unmodified human tools and handle packages/equipment. Hands are part of the platform, not a paid add-on; no separate hand pricing is published because the robot is not sold as configurable hardware.

Reality check
You are not buying a robot, you are signing up for a supervised pilot (press-reported at roughly $100k per year) with a young defense-leaning startup: it walks and manipulates under human-in-the-loop control today, but full hands-off autonomy, untethered battery runtime, and open developer access are still works in progress, not things in the crate.
Can you get one, and what will it cost?
A planning estimate with machine, freight, duty, and tax shown separately.
You cannot order the Phantom MK1 today: it is b2b only.
Not sold to the public. According to press reports, Foundation places units through commercial factory pilots (consumer goods, beverage, glass manufacturing) and government/defense programs (US DoD research contracts, a February 2026 frontline trial in Ukraine). Access is by direct engagement with Foundation and the model is lease/subscription rather than outright sale; Foundation's own site names no customer and has no order button or sales contact.

Price notes: Not sold at a fixed sticker price. Press reports (not Foundation's own site) describe a lease/subscription of roughly USD 100,000 per robot per year, with a targeted per-unit build cost around USD 100,000 and early-unit costs reported closer to USD 150,000. Foundation publishes no price, lease terms or order path, so exact terms are quote-based via Foundation. No official EUR price exists.

About the Phantom MK1background, hardware and buying reality
Its signature is a proprietary cycloid ("rolling-contact") actuator that Foundation claims delivers hydraulic-class torque (160 Nm peak) at 90-95% efficiency while staying back-drivable for safety, paired with a camera-only perception stack (no LiDAR) and integrated five-fingered hands. It is aimed squarely at industrial logistics and, increasingly, defense: Foundation holds ~$24M in US military research contracts and put two units on Ukraine's front line in February 2026 for reconnaissance and logistics under human-in-the-loop control. You cannot buy one. According to press reports it reaches customers only through Foundation's own factory pilots and government programs on a ~$100k/year lease (Foundation's site publishes no price or terms), with autonomy and support delivered as an ongoing relationship rather than a boxed product.
What it does on day onewith zero programming
Out of the box it walks (up to ~1.7 m/s) and, under human-in-the-loop teleoperation or a pre-trained skill, performs manipulation and logistics tasks: picking, carrying, tool use, reconnaissance/inspection. Foundation's camera-first stack lets an operator issue high-level natural-language intents; simple tasks can be taught by demonstration in roughly 30 minutes. It is not a plug-in-and-walk-away autonomous worker on day one.
Best for: Industrial operators and government/defense programs that want to run a lease-based, human-supervised humanoid pilot for logistics, materials handling, inspection, or reconnaissance, and that have integration staff and a use case rather than a desire to buy hardware outright.
