Phantom MK-2
The Phantom MK-2 is Foundation's second-generation, US-built full-size humanoid: about 5 ft 11 in (1.8 m), roughly 80 kg, and engineered for mass manufacturing and harsh field use rather than the showroom.

Dexterous hands included
The Phantom platform ships with integrated hands (no separate hand SKU or price, because the robot is leased whole, not sold as configurable hardware). For the MK-2 generation Foundation is building a more ambitious hand: a tendon-driven design with relocated actuators, up to 24 motors housed in bulky forearm assemblies, its geometry informed by cadaver dissection studies. That is a stated development direction on this platform, not a finalized spec-sheet component, so treat the exact hand you would receive in a pilot as unconfirmed.

Reality check
Do not read '175 lb payload' as a robot that carries 175 lb: that number traces to a bicep-curl demo, the CEO's stated static payload is about 30 kg (66 lb), and as of mid-2026 the MK-2 is a fresh announcement, not a unit you can take delivery of. You are looking at a roughly USD 100k-per-year-class lease of a defense-leaning platform whose real MK-2 wins are ruggedness and manufacturability, not open access or hands-off autonomy.

You cannot order the Phantom MK-2 today: it is announced.
Not sold to the public and, as of mid-2026, not yet delivered at all: the MK-2 was slated to debut around April 2026 (with delivery to Ukraine later in 2026) and go to the same buyers as the MK-1, namely US government and defense programs (Foundation holds about USD 24M in military research contracts and ran a frontline Ukraine trial with two MK-1 units) and commercial industrial pilots. Access is by direct engagement with Foundation's business-development team, not an order button, and on a lease rather than a sale.

Price notes: No MK-2 price is published. Foundation does not sell outright, it leases. The MK-1 ran roughly USD 100,000 per robot per year (early build cost about USD 150,000 per unit), and the MK-2's stated purpose is to drive cost DOWN via cast-moulded bodywork: the CEO's target is around USD 20,000 per unit at roughly 40,000 units per year by the end of 2027. That USD 20k is a future manufacturing-cost target, NOT a customer price and NOT a today number. Expect the MK-2 to reach customers on a quote-based lease like the MK-1, with no public sticker. No EUR price exists.

About the Phantom MK-2background, hardware and buying reality
Where the MK-1 was largely hand-assembled, the MK-2 switches to a cast-moulded body to cut cost and speed production (the CEO's target is about USD 20,000 per unit at roughly 40,000 units per year by the end of 2027, a future manufacturing-cost target, not a customer price), while adding waterproofing, consolidated electronics, larger batteries, and an approximately 100 G shock and vibration rating (up from about 10-12 G) so it survives mud, rain, and rough handling. It keeps Foundation's proprietary cycloid actuators and camera-only perception. The widely quoted '175 lb payload' traces to an 80 kg bicep-curl demo; the CEO cited a static-pose payload closer to 30 kg. Announced for an approximately April 2026 debut, it is not a product you buy: like the MK-1 it reaches US defense programs (Foundation holds about USD 24M in military contracts) and industrial pilots through a lease and direct engagement, with autonomy delivered as human-in-the-loop supervision rather than a boxed, hands-off worker.
What it does on day onewith zero programming
Under human-in-the-loop teleoperation or a pre-trained skill, the Phantom platform walks (about 1.7 m/s) and performs manipulation, materials-handling, inspection, and reconnaissance tasks. The MK-2's pitch is that it does this far more ruggedly than the MK-1: waterproof, shock-hardened (about 100 G transient), stronger (an 80 kg bicep-curl demo), on bigger batteries. It is not a plug-in-and-walk-away autonomous worker: an operator issues high-level intent and supervises.
Best for: US defense programs and heavy-industry operators that want a ruggedized, waterproof, lease-based humanoid for logistics, materials handling, inspection, or reconnaissance in harsh conditions, and that have integration staff, trained teleoperators, and a defined use case rather than a desire to own hardware or write their own code.
