HMND 01 Alpha
Billed as the UK's first industrial humanoid, but a Robots-as-a-Service deployment you rent by contract, not a robot you can buy, price, or program yourself.

Hands sold separatelypriced by quote
Hands are modular and task-chosen, not a fixed default. Each arm takes either a 12-DOF five-finger dexterous hand (for tasks needing dexterity) or a simple 1-DOF parallel gripper with a pad (for straightforward or heavier handling). Crucially, the actual paying work so far has used grippers, not the five-finger hands: the Siemens tote-destacking trial and the bin-picking demos run on parallel jaws. So 'dexterous hands' are a configuration option that exists, not the thing doing the real logistics work today. No standalone hand price is published because nothing here is sold as a part: it all comes as a service.

Reality check
You are not buying a robot here, you are signing up for a service: there is no purchase price, no monthly rate published, no SDK, and the 'UK's first industrial humanoid' did its headline work in a German Siemens plant using grippers, not the fancy five-finger hands.

You cannot order the HMND 01 Alpha today: it is b2b only.
This is not a product an individual can buy or a developer can order. Access is a commercial engagement: you are a warehouse, logistics, retail, or manufacturing operator running a paid pilot or a RaaS deployment with Humanoid's team. There is no consumer channel, no research-kit tier, and no self-serve purchase.

Price notes: No price is published. Humanoid does not sell this robot: it is offered only through a Robots-as-a-Service (RaaS) model, so you rent capacity by contract, you do not buy a unit. Third-party catalogs list it as 'Enterprise Pricing' with no figure, and any dollar amount attached to this model is a guess or a placeholder ('Contact sales'). The company cites 20,500 pre-orders and three active pilots, but has disclosed no monthly RaaS rate, no per-hour rate, and no deposit figure. Treat any dollar amount you see attached to this model as unverified.
No seller listing is recorded. Check the sources below for the maker’s latest information.

What it does on day onewith zero programming
Nothing, in the sense a buyer means it. You cannot power one on at your site with zero programming, because you never take delivery of one to program. In a Humanoid-run RaaS pilot the system does one thing well out of the gate: repetitive industrial logistics. In the Siemens trial the wheeled Alpha autonomously destacked totes onto a conveyor for over eight hours per shift, moving roughly 60 totes an hour at a 90-percent-plus success rate. That is the day-one value: a supervised, single-task logistics worker that Humanoid's team stands up for you.
Best for: Warehouse, logistics, and manufacturing operators in Europe who want to run a supervised, vendor-operated pilot of humanoid logistics work (tote moving, bin picking, machine feeding) without owning or programming the hardware.
What it takes to developskills, gear, and SDK access
This is not a developer platform, so 'development' is not really on the table for a customer. There is no public SDK, no open API, and no research build. The intelligence (a proprietary vision-language-action model trained in NVIDIA Isaac) is Humanoid's, and new skills are added by Humanoid's engineering team, not by you. To do more with it you do not write code, you scope another use case with the vendor. If in-house robotics programming access matters to you, this platform does not currently offer it.
SDK access: No public SDK or developer program has been announced. The robot runs Humanoid's proprietary vision-language-action (VLA) model on NVIDIA compute (Jetson Thor class, trained in NVIDIA Isaac Sim and Isaac Lab). Skills are developed and deployed by Humanoid's own team as part of a RaaS engagement, so a customer cannot independently program the robot today. Treat this as a closed, vendor-operated platform, not a hackable robot.
