Kondo's Robospot shop delivers inside Japan only, in Japanese only, and refuses buyers it believes will export. Switch Science is a Japanese-language shop; its listing does not state export terms.

Price notes: Kondo shows 'open price' on its own page. Real prices, yen incl. tax, shipping extra: Robospot (Kondo's web shop) 76,780 yen for Ver.2 (2026-05-10 archive copy, 6 in stock). Switch Science 76,780 yen for both the Ver.1 kit (stock 2) and the Ver.2 (stock 0, shop marks it as 'while stock lasts'). Other KXR bundles at Robospot: Advance Set B Ver.2 84,480 yen and Advance Set A Ver.2 109,780 yen (more parts, not a humanoid-only kit; their contents were not opened). The kit comes without a radio receiver or controller; Switch Science sold the KRC-5FH radio set separately and lists it as discontinued. About the KXR-L2background, hardware and buying reality

The KXR-L2 is the humanoid in Kondo's KXR series, a recombinable resin-part kit. Ver.2 swaps the first version's KRS-3301 servos for the stronger KRS-3302 with better holding force and less servo hunting. Finished size is 295 x 197 x 107 mm and it weighs about 1.1 kg with the battery. Dummy servos can be replaced to add axes. Kondo's shop shows no list price; Kondo's own Robospot shop and Switch Science both charge 76,780 yen incl. tax. Kondo still lists the Ver.2 as on sale, and Switch Science has the old Ver.1 left in stock (2) while its Ver.2 is at zero.

Best for: A beginner or student builder in Japan who wants a lighter, cheaper resin-part biped than the KHR series and may later rebuild it into another shape.

What it takes to developskills, gear, and SDK access

A Windows 8.1, 10 or 11 PC with USB, a Phillips screwdriver (sizes 0 and 1) and side cutters. Motions are made in HeartToHeart4 with the mouse, no programming language needed per the maker.

SDK access: Motion programming through Kondo's HeartToHeart4 on Windows. Kondo's support menu lists servo and RCB board development documents and the KXR support blog; I did not open them, so no SDK or ROS support is established for this kit (Kondo sells a separate KXR-A3S arm with a ROS2-ready board).
