RoBee
RoBee is a Made-in-Italy cognitive humanoid from Oversonic Robotics (founded 2020, near Milan): a wheeled mobile-base robot roughly human-height (configurable 162-190 cm), with two arms, five-finger hands and around 40 joints, that navigates autonomously and runs its speech, reasoning and vision on-board using Intel edge processors (nothing sent to the cloud).

Dexterous hands included
Five-finger humanoid hands are part of the standard RoBee platform (used for bimanual manipulation with force feedback), not an add-on. Oversonic cites accuracy of about ±3 mm in cognitive mode and ±1 mm in deterministic mode with ±0.8 mm repeatability, and payload of roughly 5 kg per arm (about 10 kg bimanual). Grippers/end-effectors can be tailored to the task; no separate hand price is published because hands ship as part of the unit.

Reality check
You are not buying a robot off the shelf, you are signing up for a deployment: RoBee arrives configured and programmed by Oversonic for one job on flat floors (it rolls, it does not walk stairs), there is no public price or SDK, and anything new it needs to do goes back through Oversonic's engineers.
Can you get one, and what will it cost?
A planning estimate with machine, freight, duty, and tax shown separately.
You cannot order the RoBee today: it is b2b only.
Sold to industrial and healthcare enterprises through a direct sales relationship with Oversonic, not as a listed, order-online product. Deals are scoped as supply/deployment agreements (each RoBee is configured and application-programmed for the client's workflow), so there is no consumer or off-the-shelf purchase path. Approach via the contact form or sales@oversonicrobotics.com; expect a discovery and pilot process rather than a cart checkout.

Price notes: Oversonic does not publish a price; RoBee is quoted per project because each unit is configured and application-programmed for the customer, and commercial terms of its deals (e.g. the STMicroelectronics supply agreement) were not disclosed. A third-party aggregator (Humanoid.guide) lists an indicative figure of about $140,000, but this is an outside estimate, not an Oversonic-confirmed number, so treat it as a rough order of magnitude only. Enterprise humanoids of this class are frequently offered as multi-year supply or robotics-as-a-service arrangements rather than a single sticker price; confirm the actual model directly with sales.

About the RoBeebackground, hardware and buying reality
It is aimed squarely at industry and healthcare, and is notable for being marketed as certified for use in both sectors, with variants for manufacturing (Series R), medical/clinical settings (Series M) and intralogistics (Series F). Crucially it is not a product you buy off a shelf: it is deployed under enterprise supply agreements (for example rolling out across STMicroelectronics plants, starting in Malta) where Oversonic configures and programs each robot for the job. It is real and working in the field, but a buyer experiences it as a B2B engagement with a per-project quote, not a listed price or an online order.
What it does on day onewith zero programming
Nothing generic: RoBee is not a plug-in-and-go product. It arrives pre-configured and pre-taught by Oversonic for the specific job it was bought to do, so on day one it performs that scoped application (for example a defined pick-and-place, machine-tending, inspection, or patient-support routine), navigates the mapped environment autonomously, avoids obstacles, and holds a natural spoken conversation using its on-robot cognitive AI (speech understanding, reasoning and speech generation run locally, no cloud). It does not autonomously improvise new tasks it was never set up for.
Best for: Manufacturers and healthcare/eldercare operators who want a supervised, human-height helper for repetitive, precise or unsafe tasks (machine tending, pick-and-place, quality inspection, hospital logistics, patient support) on flat indoor floors, and who are ready to run an enterprise deployment with the vendor rather than tinker with a robot themselves.
