About 40% on China-origin collected today: the 2.5% MFN base, 25% Section 301 List 1, and the 12.5% Section 301 forced-labor duty effective 24 Jul 2026 with no expiry. It began the same morning the 10% Section 122 surcharge lapsed, so the total rose from about 37.5% rather than falling to 27.5%. Confirm the live rate before ordering.

Dexterous hands included
Dexterous hands are part of the platform: PNDbotics' spec table lists a Dexterous Hand with six finger joints per hand, counted in the 31-DOF total. Which hand depends on the bundle: PNDbotics' wiki documents its own PND hand and lists Inspire hands as an option, while partner Noitom's launch bundle names a six-DoF tactile hand from Inspire Robotics. No maker page names the RH56E2 model, so confirm it on the quote.

Reality check
This is not the bipedal Adam and it does not do chores: it is a data-collection station on a lift column that a human drives with the included mocap suit, so you are buying it to generate training data, and it stays a demo until your lab trains a policy on that data.

Yes, with work: importable into United States.
US authorization: We found no public FCC ID for this model. Since 28 July 2026 a foreign-made robot can be sold into the US only under an FCC authorization from before that date, so ask the seller for its FCC ID, or its Supplier's Declaration of Conformity dated before 28 July 2026, before you pay.
Spare batteries and other accessories are excluded. Confirm compatibility and pricing with the seller.

Sold as a teleoperation and data-collection rig for embodied-AI research teams and universities. Not a consumer product and not a general-purpose worker robot. Preorder is via PNDbotics and its partners (Noitom, Inspire); a small number of satellite-equipment resellers also list the Adam line.
Price notes: Introductory price is CNY 399,000, which partner Noitom's launch page quotes as about USD 45,000; PNDbotics' own pages state no price. That figure is for Noitom's launch bundle, configured with a tactile dexterous hand from Inspire, the Noitom PNLink mocap suit, and a VR headset. No public EUR list price. Positioned for universities and R&D labs, not consumers.

What it does on day onewith zero programming
Out of the box it is a teleoperation and data-collection rig, not an autonomous worker. An operator drives it (via the included Noitom mocap suit and VR headset, or a supported Quest headset) and it records synchronized motion, force-tactile, and vision data for training imitation and reinforcement-learning models. It does not perform tasks on its own until you train a policy on the data it collects.
Best for: University and R&D teams collecting teleoperation and tactile data to train manipulation policies, who want a stable, height-adjustable platform with hands and a mocap teleop kit included rather than a bipedal robot they have to keep upright.
Documented uses
Robotics R&DManipulation research
PNDbotics documents Adam-U for research experiments, algorithm testing and data acquisition, with ROS2 Humble development interfaces and dexterous hands in its specification.
PNDbotics describes it as an upper body on a lift platform built for desktop-level work, and the hand model and teleoperation devices supplied depend on the bundle quoted.
Source reviewed 2026-10-05Assessment from published documentation, not an independent performance test. Applies to the configuration described above.
