Adam
Adam is a full-size, RL-driven bipedal humanoid from Beijing-based PNDbotics, first shown in 2023 and pushed hard through 2025 (WAIC 2025 debut alongside the Adam-U mocap station, plus a live keytar performance at a Changchun music festival).

Hands sold separatelypriced by quote
Hands are configuration-dependent. The base Adam / Adam Standard tier ships without dexterous hands (bare wrists or a simple spherical/rubber-ball end on the Lite), and five-fingered dexterous hands (roughly 6 finger joints per hand on the SP/Pro) are an optional add-on. Higher tiers (Adam SP, Adam Pro) include the dexterous hands as standard, which is part of why their DOF count and price rise. PNDbotics has not published a standalone add-on price for the hands; expect it to be quoted per configuration.

Reality check
The dancing, keytar-playing Adam you saw online is scripted and teleoperated: you are buying a superb, human-like moving platform and an SDK, not a robot that will autonomously do a job, and getting real work out of it takes a serious in-house RL and ROS2 team.

You cannot order the Adam today: it is b2b only.
Sold to businesses and research labs through a quote/inquiry process, not consumer checkout. PNDbotics targets industrial, logistics, customer-service, healthcare and research pilots. Third-party resellers list some configurations with "Add to Cart" prices, but a full-size bipedal Adam is a six-figure capital purchase (about $100,000 to $145,000 at the listed prices) that in practice goes through sales qualification, not an instant order.

Price notes: Pricing is tiered and configuration-dependent, and PNDbotics does not publish an official price list, so these are indicative figures from listings and press. The full-size bipedal Adam sits in the roughly $100,000 to $145,000 range: Adam SP prototype listed around $100,000; third-party reseller (Robots International) lists Adam Standard Plus at ~$99,999, Adam Pro ~$115,000, Adam Pro Max ~$145,000 (PNDbotics' own wiki lists only four models, Lite, Standard, SP and Pro, so 'Standard Plus' and 'Pro Max' are reseller names with no maker specification); one guide profile cites ~$120,000 for a developer/Lite variant. The wheeled upper-body companion Adam-U starts around $45,000 (Adam-U Pro ~$58,000) but that is a stationary upper-body data-collection unit, not the walking robot. Reseller "Add to Cart" prices exist but a real deal is a quoted capital purchase; no EUR price is published (convert USD and add EU import/VAT).

About the Adambackground, hardware and buying reality
It stands about 1.67 m and 62 kg, runs on PNDbotics' own PSA quasi-direct-drive actuators (up to ~360 N.m peak torque), and is offered in tiers from a 25-DOF Lite up to a 41 to 43-DOF SP/Pro with five-fingered dexterous hands. Its standout trait is fluid, biomimetic motion from deep reinforcement learning and imitation learning trained in NVIDIA Isaac Gym. It is a serious research-and-integration platform sold to businesses and labs by quote, not a consumer product and not an autonomous worker: the impressive public demos are pre-programmed and human-monitored.
What it does on day onewith zero programming
Out of the box it walks and balances (RL-trained, human-like gait, up to ~1.5 m/s), holds and shifts its whole-body posture, and can run pre-programmed or teleoperated demo sequences such as the keytar performance and dance routines PNDbotics shows publicly. Those demos are scripted and human-monitored, not autonomous task completion. Day one, with zero programming, you get a stable, expressive bipedal platform that moves convincingly, not a robot that autonomously does a job.
Best for: Robotics research groups, universities, and industrial R&D teams that want a capable, expressive full-size bipedal platform with an open SDK and strong sim-to-real (Isaac Gym) tooling, and that have the ML/ROS2 engineering depth to build their own behaviors on top of it.
