Dexterous hands included
The L7 ships with two XHAND1 dexterous hands as standard: 12 fully active DoF each, fully direct-drive five-finger design, ~10 Hz actuation ("10 clicks per second"), tactile sensing (texture and temperature), single-finger lift over 5 kg and whole-hand grip over 20 kg. The XHAND1 is also sold as a standalone product (reseller listings around $20,750 per hand in the US), which signals how much of the L7's value and cost sits in the hands. Interchangeable grippers/tool mounts are supported as an option.

Reality check
You are buying a fast, capable research and pilot platform, not a turnkey worker: budget around $120,000, plan for an engineering team and battery-swap logistics, and know that runtime, safety certification, and ingress rating are still being validated.

You cannot order the L7 today: it is b2b only.
RobotEra sells the L7 to enterprises and research labs via demo booking and direct sales, not to consumers. Over 200 units (L7, M7 and earlier models combined) shipped in 2025, with pilots in logistics, retail and R&D. Third-party resellers (Robots International, RobotShop) surface an "Add to Cart" listing, but in practice acquisition is a quote-and-broker process for businesses, not an off-the-shelf consumer checkout.

Price notes: RobotEra has not published an official public list price. Distributor and database sources cite roughly $120,000 for a base research/enterprise configuration. US reseller Robots International lists the L7 at $99,999.95 (broker listing, not RobotEra's own checkout). No official EUR price is published; a European buyer should expect the USD figure plus import duty, VAT, and battery freight. Treat all figures as quote-dependent, not fixed retail. The XHAND1 hands (standard on the robot) are separately valued around $20,750 each at US resellers, indicating how the total cost is composed.

About the L7background, hardware and buying reality
It pairs athletic mobility (running at 4 m/s, billed as the fastest bipedal humanoid, with 400 Nm peak-torque direct-drive joints and 55 degrees of freedom) with industrial-grade manipulation via two standard 12-DoF XHAND1 dexterous hands and a 20 kg dual-arm payload. Perception comes from 3D LiDAR, binocular vision, and a microphone array, and autonomy is driven by RobotEra's ERA-42 vision-language-action model. It is an enterprise and research machine: 200-plus units across RobotEra's lineup shipped in 2025 into logistics, retail, and R&D pilots. There is no consumer checkout; you engage RobotEra or a broker, budget around $120,000, and bring an engineering team. Battery runtime, IP rating, and safety certification are not yet published and are described as still being field-validated.
What it does on day onewith zero programming
Day one, the L7 can stand, walk, and run (up to 4 m/s), perform pre-trained dynamic routines (360-degree spin jumps, dancing, a scripted sword dance), and run RobotEra's demonstrated manipulation tasks via its ERA-42 model: sorting, barcode scanning, screw fastening, and delicate handling like operating pipettes or drawing curtains. It can also be teleoperated. It does not arrive as a plug-and-play appliance for your specific workflow.
Best for: Enterprises and research labs that need a fast, dexterous full-size humanoid platform for logistics, industrial manipulation, and embodied-AI research, and that have an engineering team plus a six-figure budget.
