Vega
Dexmate's Vega 1 Pro is a wheeled humanoid for developers and researchers: a 3-DoF torso reaching from the floor to 2.2 m, two 7-DoF arms and an omnidirectional base with a 20 hour runtime. It is sold as hardware plus SDK, with grippers extra and no autonomy.

Hands sold separatelypriced by quote
The robot ships without hands or grippers. Dexmate sells the DexGripper S and D (60 N grip, 55 degree opening, self-locking, 1.0 kg and 1.4 kg) and publishes a mechanical and electrical interface for third-party tools. The spec sheet PDF also names a 'Dexmate 6-DoF hand' as an option, but no such hand is sold on the store. Papers on Dexmate's research page used Vega with third-party Sharpa Wave hands.

Reality check
The $75,000 buys a body with no hands and no autonomy: two grippers add $6,000 to $9,800, the exoskeleton $1,800, US freight was $3,500, and ordering from the EU means emailing Dexmate first.

Dexmate's public web store takes orders with no business or institution check stated. Its terms require the buyer to be of legal age and let Dexmate refuse orders it judges to come from dealers, resellers or distributors. The robot is sold as a platform for developers and researchers, hardware only. The online cart priced freight for US addresses only.
Price notes: Dexmate store, USD, before tax and freight. Vega 1 Pro (wheeled humanoid, the only wheeled edition listed): $75,000.00 for hardware without any end effector. Vega 1 U (the same upper body on a stand or tabletop with a Jetson Orin Nano, no wheeled base, corded power): $42,000.00, not counted as a complete wheeled robot. End effectors are priced per gripper and each robot takes two: DexGripper S $3,000.00 (or $3,900.00 with an RGB camera and mount) and DexGripper D $4,000.00 (or $4,900.00 with camera), so a Vega 1 Pro with two grippers is $81,000 to $84,800. The Vega 1 Exoskeleton teleoperation interface is $1,800.00. The cart showed 'Ground freight' of $3,500.00 for a Vega 1 Pro to US addresses (California, New York, Texas); the page says freight is 'quoted at checkout'. The Startup Program offers up to $22K off per unit on Vega 1 Pro (first two units, US) or $10K off outside the US, by application, for companies that raised under $5M; end effectors are excluded. Fleet quantities are quoted on request. No separate 'Vega 1' edition is listed. Checked 17 Oct 2026.

About the Vegabackground, hardware and buying reality
Dexmate was founded in 2024 by Tao Chen, Yuzhe Qin and Chongyang Wang and lists a Fremont, California address. Vega 1 Pro has a 3-DoF torso, a 3-DoF head with a stereo RGB camera, two 7-DoF arms (5 kg per arm) and an omnidirectional base with two LiDARs and four cameras, driven by an NVIDIA Jetson AGX Thor. It measures 66 cm tall when folded, reaches from the floor to 2.2 m (2.5 m with arms raised), weighs 135 kg and is rated for 20 hours of operation. You get the robot, Python, C++ and Rust APIs and URDF and USD models, with no autonomy included. Dexmate says published research from UC Berkeley, Stanford, CMU, NVIDIA and Google DeepMind ran on Vega, and NEC's venture fund invested in August 2026.
What it does on day onewith zero programming
The arms, torso, head and omnidirectional base move under position control through the API, with safety checks and the camera and LiDAR sensors working. No tasks or AI behaviors are included, and without end effectors it cannot grasp anything.
Best for: Robot-learning labs and physical AI startups that want a ready bimanual mobile base with an SDK and simulation models, and will add their own grippers and software.
Documented uses
Dexmate documents Python, C++ and Rust APIs, SimReady URDF and USD models, VR and exoskeleton teleoperation, and lists labs that published research on Vega.
