Hands sold separatelypriced by quote
No hands on the Basic Edition priced here: EngineAI's table gives the Basic and Open Source editions no hand DOF and 5-DOF arms. Its 7-DOF dexterous hands come only with the Pro and Max editions, which also have 7-DOF arms. Launch coverage of the JD.com listing had put hands on the open-source tier; EngineAI's current table does not.

Reality check
The $25,000 headline is the Basic Edition, which EngineAI lists with no secondary development and no hands: programming starts with the Open Source Edition and hands with the Pro. It is in mass delivery in China, but it is brand-new hardware with little independent validation and EngineAI's own Buy Now button leads to JD.com, so treat the aggressive price as an early-adopter bet, not a proven product.

Delivery to United States needs seller confirmation.
US authorization: We found no public FCC ID for this model. Since 28 July 2026 a foreign-made robot can be sold into the US only under an FCC authorization from before that date, so ask the seller for its FCC ID, or its Supplier's Declaration of Conformity dated before 28 July 2026, before you pay.
We do not have a confirmed shipping route for the T800 to United States. Coverage in another country does not establish delivery here, so no delivered total is shown.
EngineAI's own Buy Now button leads to JD.com in China. Robots International lists the T800 Basic Edition at $40,500 with Add to Cart, availability subject to confirmation.

Price notes: China launch pricing on JD.com as reported by the press: Basic Edition RMB 180,000 (~$25,000), Open Source edition RMB 240,000 (~$33,000), Pro RMB 280,000 (~$38,500), Max RMB 360,000 (~$50,000); EngineAI's own site shows no prices. EngineAI's current table gives dexterous hands only to the Pro and Max, an AGX Orin 64G module (upgradable to Thor on request) to the Open Source, Pro and Max, and no secondary development to the Basic. Sold on JD.com in China, where the first batch began mass delivery on 29 May 2026, so at home it is a shipping product rather than a reservation.
Links marked commission link are affiliate links: if you buy through one, Robots International pays HumanoidStore a share of the sale, at no cost to you. Which sellers we list, their order, and everything we say about a machine are decided without regard to it.

What it does on day onewith zero programming
High-mobility demos driven from a handheld touchscreen remote controller (450 Nm peak torque, combat-robotics positioning, CES 2026 debut). The Basic Edition cannot run custom code. Still early hardware with limited independent validation.
Best for: Early adopters who want a full-size demo machine at this price, or integrators ready to pay for the Open Source Edition or higher to develop on new, still-unproven hardware.
Documented uses
EngineAI's T800 page shows martial-arts motion demos and lists the Basic Edition with a handheld remote controller and no secondary development.
The Basic Edition has no hands, LiDAR or secondary development, so research needs the Open Source edition or higher and dexterous hands come only on Pro and Max.
Source reviewed 2026-10-05Assessment from published documentation, not an independent performance test. Applies to the configuration described above.
What it takes to developskills, gear, and SDK access
None usable on the Basic Edition (handheld remote controller only). Development needs the Open Source Edition or higher and, as with the SE01, a full robotics/RL team. Treat as early-adopter hardware.
