CLOiD
LG's first dedicated home humanoid, a wheeled dual-arm robot with five-fingered hands that folded laundry on stage at CES 2026, shown as a concept with no price, no ship date, and no way to buy it.

Dexterous hands included
Each of the two arms is 7-DoF, and each hand has five independently actuated fingers, so dexterous five-fingered hands are part of the robot as shown, not an add-on. Caveat: this is a demo, and even with real hands the CES manipulation was slow and shaky, so the hand hardware existing does not mean the dexterity is production-ready.

Reality check
This is a CES concept, not a product: LG published no price and no launch date, and said it is not yet planning to sell it. On the show floor a person had to lay out each towel while the robot folded one item at a time, very slowly, and it often failed to stack them neatly. Real five-fingered hands, real ambition, zero buyability.

You cannot order the CLOiD today: it is announced.
Nobody can buy it. This is a CES 2026 stage-and-booth demo, not a product on sale to consumers, businesses, or researchers. LG says it is a signal of intent toward practical home robots, not a purchasable unit.

Price notes: No price published. LG has not announced pricing, availability, or a launch date. At CES 2026 LG framed CLOiD as a concept it is not yet planning to sell, so treat any dollar figure you see on spec-aggregator sites (some quote $35,000) as invented: LG has published nothing.

What it does on day onewith zero programming
Nothing you can do at home, because you cannot get one. As demonstrated at CES, a unit does tightly choreographed household chores (fold and stack laundry, fetch milk from the fridge, put a croissant in the oven, grab keys off a couch) while integrated with LG ThinQ appliances, but slowly and with human help resetting the scene.
Best for: Watching where big-tech home robotics is headed. It is a signal of intent from a major appliance maker, not something you can put in your kitchen: useful to track, impossible to purchase.
What it takes to developskills, gear, and SDK access
Not applicable in any real sense: LG has announced no SDK, no API, and no developer program, and there is no unit to develop on. This is a closed vertical demo tied to LG's ThinQ ecosystem and its VLM/VLA stack, not a platform you can build against today.
