Europe's best-funded humanoid bet: a 180 cm German biped taking EUR 100 refundable reservations for its Gen 3.5 at an estimated EUR 98,000, due end of 2026. Its successor, the lighter 4NE1 Gen 4, was unveiled on 22 October 2026 with no price or delivery date.

  • Not to be confused with 4NE1 Mini (NEURA Robotics): The compact 132 cm, 36 kg sibling for education and labs, estimated at EUR 19,999 or EUR 29,999, whose reservations are closed. 4NE1 Mini datasheet

Hands

Dexterous hands included

Integrated hands, 12 DoF per NEURA's datasheet. NEURA rates the arms payload at 20 kg; the widely quoted 100 kg is its own footnote for leg-supported configurations (the load carried against the body), not what the arms lift.

In the crate

4NE1 robot (design by Studio F.A. Porsche) Integrated high-dexterity hands (12 DoF per NEURA's datasheet) 7-camera 360-degree perception suite Artificial-skin collision-sensing covers A high-capacity battery and a dedicated charging station (NEURA's 2025 launch release described a dual-battery system for 24/7 operation)

You still have to add

A proven track record (no customer units in the field yet) A US service network Autonomy guarantees (GR00T-based skills are largely demo-stage) Human-detection safety sensors (optional at additional cost, per the Gen 3.5 datasheet) Specialized or third-party end effectors

Reality check

The funding and the spec sheet are dazzling, but nothing has reached a customer yet, and a new generation was unveiled two months before the old one is due, so a reservation buys a well-backed promise of a robot whose final form is still changing.

Can you get one, and what will it cost?

Unconfirmed

Delivery to United States needs seller confirmation.

US authorization: We found no public FCC ID for this model. Since 28 July 2026 a foreign-made robot can be sold into the US only under an FCC authorization from before that date, so ask the seller for its FCC ID, or its Supplier's Declaration of Conformity dated before 28 July 2026, before you pay.

We do not have a confirmed shipping route for the 4NE1 to United States. Coverage in another country does not establish delivery here, so no delivered total is shown.

Reservations accepted, but no US distribution or support yet.

Individuals and companies can inquire. Confirm the configuration, stock, and delivery with the seller.

Consumers, education, and businesses can reserve; Europe has direct reservations, North America has no distributor yet.

Price notes: 4NE1 Gen 3.5 (industrial, 180 cm): NEURA's estimated price is EUR 98,000 per unit for 1-19 units and EUR 60,000 per unit at 20+, excluding taxes and shipping, with availability expected at the end of 2026. Reserve with a EUR 100 refundable deposit. The compact 4NE1 Mini (132 cm, estimated EUR 19,999 or EUR 29,999) has a datasheet of its own; its reservations were closed on 27 Oct 2026. On 22 Oct 2026 NEURA unveiled the next generation, 4NE1 Gen 4, at the opening of the TUM RoboGym in Munich: 'designed for serial production', 20% lighter, a textile outer skin, new hands and its Neuron AI model, with no price and no delivery date, 'being prepared for series production'. The reservation page still offers Gen 3.5 at the prices above (checked 27 Oct 2026), and its FAQ says only that the design 'may' be refined before release, so ask NEURA which generation a reservation delivers.

Prices remain in the seller’s listed currency. Tax, freight, options, and rental periods follow each seller’s terms. A seller’s region does not guarantee delivery to your address.

About the 4NE1background, hardware and buying reality

NEURA Robotics (Metzingen, founded 2019) launched 4NE1 Gen 4 on 22 October 2026, the day it opened the TUM RoboGym near Munich Airport with the Technical University of Munich: a 2,300 square metre center where companies train robots on their own tasks. NEURA says Gen 4 is 'designed for serial production', 20 percent lighter than the previous generation, wrapped in a black textile skin, with advanced hands and 'Smart Limbs' that build reflexes into each limb, and runs Neuron AI, its own model that turns vision, touch, force, sound and the robot's state into movement, trained on data from its NEURA Gyms. It is 'being prepared for series production' and already working in the Gyms, where companies can train tasks with it; NEURA gave no weight, price or delivery date. What a buyer can reserve today is still Gen 3.5: 180 cm, 80 kg, 55 degrees of freedom, 20 kg arm payload, at an estimated EUR 98,000 each for 1 to 19 units, available end of 2026. NEURA's product page shows Gen 4 while its reservation page shows Gen 3.5, and no 4NE1 of either generation has been delivered to a customer.

What it does on day onewith zero programming

Claimed: multi-language voice interaction, navigation, and pick-and-place via NVIDIA Isaac GR00T plus Neura's Neuraverse platform, with teleoperation and a digital twin. All manufacturer claims; no independent out-of-box reviews exist yet.

Best for: European buyers who want a home-grown, well-funded, warranty-backed humanoid and can wait for delivery.

Documented uses

Robotics R&DManipulation research

NEURA's reservation page for 4NE1 Gen 3.5 lists a Python SDK, C++ SDK and ROS 2 interface, integrated high-dexterity hands and teleoperation.

Reservation only, with availability expected at the end of 2026, so the listed interfaces cannot be tested yet; human-detection safety sensors cost extra and third-party end effectors are excluded.

What it takes to developskills, gear, and SDK access

For real use: ROS 2 / Python / C++ against the Neura SDK, with Isaac Lab familiarity useful. The Mini Standard has no hands and lacks the C++ SDK, teleoperation and digital-twin access (Pro tier needed).

SDK access: Python, ROS 2, and C++ SDK; Neuraverse OS with a developer marketplace and fleet skill-sharing, plus NVIDIA Isaac GR00T as the reasoning layer.
