MagicLab lists the 11-DOF tactile dexterous hand as an option on the Z1 Development Version only; its spec table shows no hand option for the standard Z1. Resellers list MagicHand hands separately, so confirm they fit your edition before buying.

Reality check
Confirm the distributor is really authorized before you wire five figures abroad, and check which edition you are quoted: MagicLab lists secondary development and the optional dexterous hand only on the Development Version, and the spare battery is extra either way.
Can you get one, and what will it cost?
A planning estimate with machine, freight, duty, and tax shown separately.
Yes, with work: importable into United States.
US authorization: We found no public FCC ID for this model. Since 28 July 2026 a foreign-made robot can be sold into the US only under an FCC authorization from before that date, so ask the seller for its FCC ID, or its Supplier's Declaration of Conformity dated before 28 July 2026, before you pay.
The maker publishes no price for the MagicBot Z1, so there is no base for a delivered estimate to United States. Robots International (opens in a new tab) (commission link) lists the Z1 Standard Edition at $39,800; confirm delivery to United States, duty and included equipment with the seller.

Price notes: MagicLab itself is contact-sales, so the headline is the lowest cart price found: Robots International lists the Z1 Standard Edition at $39,800 with Add to Cart and free shipping. Sonny Robotics (Australia) sells it at AUD 60,000, shown to US visitors as $42,661 on 5 Oct 2026, with free shipping and fulfilment within 1 to 2 weeks. AIFITLAB (US) prices the Z1 from $52,800. The Standard Edition has no secondary development: MagicLab lists SDK access, the optional 11-DOF dexterous hand and extra compute only on the Development Version, which is quote-only. MagicHand dexterous hands and a spare battery (AUD 1,176 at Sonny) are sold separately. Verify distributor authorization before wiring money.
Links marked commission link are affiliate links: if you buy through one, Robots International pays HumanoidStore a share of the sale, at no cost to you. Which sellers we list, their order, and everything we say about a machine are decided without regard to it.

What it does on day onewith zero programming
Locomotion and demo skills from the handheld remote. MagicLab says developers can master and deploy a complete motion sequence in under 20 minutes from its multi-source dataset, but that needs the Development Version: the standard Z1 has no secondary development. Industrial pilots (factory inspection) are MagicLab-run, not out-of-box.
Best for: Buyers who want a mid-size humanoid from a Spring-Festival-Gala-famous maker with an actual international reseller.
Documented uses
MagicLab positions the MagicBot Z1 for exhibitions and exchanges, commercial performances and entertainment, alongside research and education.
MagicLab lists no secondary development on the standard Z1, so SDK work and the optional 11-DOF dexterous hand require the quote-only Development Version.
Source reviewed 2026-10-05Assessment from published documentation, not an independent performance test. Applies to the configuration described above.
What it takes to developskills, gear, and SDK access
None on the standard Z1, which has no secondary development. Programming needs the Z1 Development Version plus Ubuntu 22.04 and C++ or Python SDK skills; MagicLab publishes English SDK documentation on GitHub and a development guide in its document center.
